Dear All,

DAYANAND AYURVEDIC MEDICAL COLLEGE, Siwan is one of the most prestigious institutions of the state of Bihar situated in the city of Siwan. We provide quality medical education in Ancient Ayurveda as well as in modern medicine. Our institution has grown spectacularly achieving notable success in many directions and reached up to the present stage since it was started in 1971. Started from a few classrooms under the Leadership of late Prof. Ramchandra Tripathi, College now possesses a large Campus both for academic and hospital facilities separately.

Apart from induction into B.A.M.S Courses we also have started P.G courses in subjects like dravyaguna and kayachikitsa to provide higher academic education to aspiring students.

Apart from having traditional academic facilities like having Classroom teaching conducted by dedicated and highly qualified teaching faculty who at every step is ready to counsel the students and

having a big library with a large number of books and journals pertaining to ancient Ayurveda texts, journals as well as books of Modern medicines, College administration also focuses on extracurricular cultural activities, research and sports facilities for students for their overall personality development.

The theory without practice is fruitless and can only produce mediocre health practitioners, keeping this in mind We have developed well-equipped laboratories including dissection rooms for students to learn and practice. We also have a high-tech state of the art investigative facilities, at our hospital campus. Having the facility of both OPD and IPD we have almost 130 beds available in our hospital campus to  provide the students the needed facilities for teaching  and training in a more dynamic way.

Ayurveda in modern times is not only growing as robust an alternate system of medicine it is also being preferred as the primary choice for treatment of diseases due to its increasing popularity and efficiency. Catering to this need

we also have a well developed and robust pharmacy, which produces many ayurvedic medicines with pure indigenous herbs. In addition to this, we also have a well-developed Panch karma facility available to treat the patients with the ancient practice of 5 kriyas.

We also provide good hostel accommodation facilities for outdoor students with all the required facilities.

We believe the medical field is not just a profession but a medium of serving the society and the needy, and we aspire to develop such character in our students and to such commitment, We conduct annual Medical and Eye camps in the remotest part of the state of Bihar to provide free services to poor and needy with great enthusiastic participation from our Students. Where they not only learn to become a good health practitioner but also develop their character as a sensitive and helpful human being.

As the  Principal of this institution as well as Dean of Ayurveda of the University I am proud to lead our institution’s commitment to improving the state of Bihar’s healthcare through excellence in medical education, research and patient care and fully committed to providing teaching and health care of the highest standard through this Institution.
